There are two types of wireless microphones. UHF (Ultra High Frequency) and VHF (Very High Frequency). VHF is a much more commonly used frequency which some believe makes it more susceptible to interference. Whether or not the UHF type offer any real advantage is debatable. Wireless microphones also operate on various channels. If you will be using two or more wireless units in the same area, make sure that each can operate a separate channel.
