At present, the karaoke CD+G disc format is by far the most popular. It has many more available disc brands and song titles then there are with the DVD, VCD, and SuperCDG formats. The MP3+G format is catching on quickly because of it's small file size and ability to be loaded onto the hard drive of a laptop or special karaoke players. Some manufactures, like Top Hits Monthly, are selling downloadable MP3+G tracks.
Multiplex discs contain two tracks of each song. One track is karaoke only (no lead vocals) and the other track contains lead vocals to help you learn to sing the song correctly. All tracks display the CDG graphics.
