Our Review:
LYRX is one of few karaoke software applications created for Mac computers. We found it to have adequate features to run a professional karaoke show while being user friendly enough for the novice home user. At the price of only $79.95 it is also less expensive than most other programs of its type. LYRX allows you to import the songs from your hard drive to create a searchable database. The search-as-you-type feature lets you very quickly find songs which can then be added to the singer rotation or sent directly to the player. A variety of file types are supported including MP3+G (both zipped and unzipped), video files (AVI, DIVX, MP4, and flash), and most audio formats. With a Party Tyme Karaoke app subscription, you can have access to a commercially legal library of 13,500+ HD karaoke songs that may be streamed directly in LYRX while connected to the internet or downloaded for offline use. Create multi-layered text, image, and video overlays that you can output to screen 2 for your singers and audience to see. This can be used for branding purposes or for any other visuals or messages you would like to put on display. LYRX offers basic hosting software features like dual monitor support, digital key control, singer rotation, next singer display, and filler music. System Requirements:
